MISSION STATEMENT

Eliminating gender discrimination against women, help women achieve equal status to that of men in all walks of life

Functions

In order to achieve objectives of the Women Development department, the following activities are in progress:

a.     Vocational training capacity building of women.

b.     Implementation of Gender Reform Action Plan.

c.     Family Protection Project.

d.     Women Political Participation Project (W3p).

e.     Welfare of Working Children.

f.      Providing services through Baby Day Care Centers and Darul Aman.

g.     National Commission on Status of women.

h.     Gender Reforms Action Programme (GRAP), funded by Asian Development Bank(ADB).

i.      Working Women Hostel, Quetta.

j.      Implantation of National Plan of Action, NPA/CEDAW.

k.     Convention on Rights of Children (CRC) programme, funded by the UNICEF.

l.      Gender Management Information System.

m.    Social Audit funded by (ADB)
