LAHORE: The Local Government (LG) system was dissolved in Balochistan and District Coordination Officers (DCOs) have replaced the District Nazims in the province, a private TV channel reported on Friday. According to the notification, authorities of administrators have been transferred to the DCOs in all the districts while Tehsil Municipal Officers (TMOs) have also been given the powers of administrators by replacing the tehsil nazims. According to the channel, Balochistan was the first province that advised the dissolution of the LG system, which was established by former president Pervez Musharraf and a summary on this matter was also sent to the federal government.
