In pursuance of National IT Policy, Government of Balochistan established Information & Information Technology and Culture Department in May 2001.
Information & Information Technology Department came into being by bifurcating the Culture Department in 2004.
The Information Technology again bifurcated from Information Department on 2008 for playing dedicated and mandated role to: -
Liaise between Provincial Governments for projection of IT policy.
Strive to improve efficiency by implementing e-Government for good governance.
Develop human resource for IT sector.
