To start legislation on IT issues regarding IT Security/hacking of data, intellectual property rights and piracy etc;

To form a uniform and consistent IT Policy of all the provinces, the Government of Balochistan has prepared a draft IT Policy, for which inputs would be required from Federal Government and sister provinces, for this purpose a brainstorming session has been at Quetta in which IT Professionals, intellectuals and stakeholders were invited;

To create a Software development Pool in the Public Sector to develop software for Government offices; and to share the already developed software or are being developed in the sister provinces, by replicating them to save both money and time of government exchequer and to bring all the provinces at the same grade and level by benefiting the expertise of each others;

To form a platform to share the expertise by exchanging the IT Professionals with each other to reap the fruits of technological advancements by upgrading the knowledge of IT Professionals, to benefit the provinces which are lagging behind in many respect;

Technical Assistance to IT Department in the field of IT Project identification, designing and appraisal etc;

To create a separate cadre for IT professional.
