ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Interior A.Rehman Malik reiterated that government is committed for uplift of Balochistan province and prosperity of its people.

The minister said this during his visit to Gwadar on Saturday to examine the pace of implementation on Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan on the special directive of Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani.

The minister visited Gwadar Deep Seaport where he was given a detailed briefing regarding the functioning of the Port, said a press release.

The minister also inaugurated the immigration office of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and announced that one Deputy Director would be appointed at FIA Gawadar Crime Circle, Assistant Director FIA at Seaport, Assistant Director at the border checkpost of Iran and an Assistant Director and staff would be appointed at Gwadar Airport.

Rehman Malik also announced the construction of an Housing Society for the federal government employees at Gwadar and said that the Prime Minister would be requested for its approval.
