QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly has unanimously adopted a resolution on Monday, demanding the federal government to ensure immediate gas supply to all district headquarters in Balochistan.
The resolution was tabled by provincial minister Mir Habibur Rehman Hassani. He complained that most parts of the province are still deprived of gas facilities despite the fact that it is a production of Balochistan.
The house also passed another resolution calling upon the federal government to reinstate the 60 sacked employees of Mari Gas Company in Hurnai district.
Earlier, two of the provincial ministers including Sardar Aslam Bizenjo and Abdur Rehman Mengal staged a token walk-out from the house to protest firing on a rally in Khuzdar on January 15, which killed two and left four others injured. They termed it a conspiracy to disrupt peace in Balochistan and demanded the government to hold a judicial inquiry into the incident.
