Balochistan package to promote inter-provincial harmony: FM Print E-mail
MULTAN: Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Friday that Aghaz-e-Huqooq-e-Balochistan Package was one of the major achievements of the government and it would promote and strengthen inter-provincial harmony.

Addressing a big gathering of Zaireen on the second day of the Urs of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya Multani, he said , in the history of the country,the package would be remembered as a development that strengthened the bond of love among the provinces.

Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani and his provincial Finance Minister Asim Kurd were also present on the occasion who are here to  attend Urs ceremonies of the great saint.

Federal Minister for religious affairs Allama Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi also attended the Urs ceremony.
FM recalled that he was the finance minister of Punjab at the time when Nawab Aslam Raisani had the same portfolio in Balochistan. “We both had worked together and signed the NFC Award.”

He lauded Nawab Aslam Raisani as a patriotic citizen of the country who always kept national interests supreme. He played important role in creating consensus on the NFC Award in a difficult environment and was successfully running a coalition government in Balochistan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said.

He said Nawab Aslam Raisani spoke for the rights of Balochistan people remaining within the ambit of the constitution and now development of the province at an accelerated pace was very mush in sight.
Balochistan package was an historical development and Baloch people will remember Nawab Aslam Raisani for fulfilment of their demands and development.

Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Pakistan had to move forward on the rood to development while giving equal status to all the federating units.
