QUETTA: The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has blocked 27,433 national identification cards in Balochistan. 
           
Officials said that Nadra staff has been directed to complete the investigation in this regard within two months. Most of the NICs have been blocked in bordering districts with Afghanistan.

Nadra staff would probe into each NIC and the proof of issuance of cards.

However, the officials said that besides Afghans some Iranians have also managed to make fake NICs. Officials said that total number of NICs holders is more than 2.7 million people.
